27th Annual Lanigan, Ryan, Malcolm & Doyle Golf for Charity Tournament

On Monday, May 6, 2019, Lanigan Ryan held its 27th Annual Golf for Charity tournament benefiting HEROES, Inc. and Manna Food Center. Thanks to the generous support of participants, sponsors, and donors, the tournament raised over $10,000 for the two charities. Honored guests of the event included HEROES, Inc. President and CEO Jack Nichols, as well as Manna Food Center CEO Jackie DeCarlo, both of whom were able to speak to the group about their respective organization’s mission and success stories.

HEROES, Inc. is dedicated to aiding the families of law enforcement officers and firefighters who have died in the line of duty in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. HEROES achieves their mission by providing immediate financial assistance to ensure housing and other basic needs are met. Through their scholarship program, the college tuition, room and board, and books for the children of fallen heroes are paid in full. In addition, HEROES arranges for free financial and legal advice. Manna Food Center is committed to ending hunger in Montgomery County, Maryland. Manna does this through community programs such as “Food for Families”, the “Smart Sacks” program aimed at feeding school-age children over the weekend, and community food education services.
