24th Annual Lanigan, Ryan, Malcolm & Doyle Golf for Charity Tournament

May 11, 2016

On Monday, May 2, 2016, the annual Lanigan, Ryan, Golf for Charity Tournament commenced with the sun shining, the birds chirping, and the roar of golf carts taking to the course. 132 golfers participated in the day’s tournament, all supporting this year’s tournament beneficiaries, Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children and the Maryland Family Network.

The two local charity executive directors Stephanie Hodges (CASA) and Margaret Williams (MFN) spoke at the dinner reception about the wonderful work that their organizations continue to do to improve lives including CASA’s volunteer advocate program for neglected and abused children and MFN’s resource development for the childhood care community. This year’s highlighted organizations have demonstrated the value of giving back and further solidified the tournament’s tradition of embracing the local community.

To round out the end of the event, LRMD Partner Steve Staton presented both directors with $5,000 checks for their organizations and prizes were awarded to our contest and raffle winners. Our three grand prize winners went home with one of three grand prizes including a TaylorMade Men’s M1 460cc Driver, a Yeti Hopper Cooler Bag, and a UE BOOM 2 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker Phantom Edition.

As is true every year, we could not have made the impact today without the generous support of our sponsors, donors, and participants. Together we raised over $10,000 for the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children and the Maryland Family Network. A heartfelt thank you for your continued support in making this tournament a success.
